On 18th of September 2013, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by the President of the Management Board of the Bank Guarantee Fund, Poland (BFG) and the President of the Bank Deposit Guarantee Fund, Romania (FGDB).
The MOU is of a general nature and provides for the advancement of cooperation between BFG and FGDB in the area of economics and finance, exchange of views on financial services, deposit insurance, resolution of financial institutions, promotion of sound banking practices, as well as other relevant financial stability issues. The MOU additionally provides for the organization of training sessions and exchange visits. The term of the MOU is 5 years with an option of extension.
