On 1st March 2013, Jerzy Pruski, President of the Management Board of the Bank Guarantee Fund took part in a debate concerning Poland’s future adoption of the euro common currency, hosted by the Ministry of Finance. The participants also included Jacek Rostowski, Deputy Premier and Minister of Finance; Marek Belka, President of the National Bank of Poland; Janusz Piechociński, Deputy Premier and Minister of Economy; the following members of the Monetary Policy Council: Andrzej Bratkowski, Jan Winiecki, Anna Zielińska-Głębocka; Jerzy Osiatyński, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland Bronisław Komorowski; Andrzej Raczko, Member of the Board of the National Bank of Poland.
