On June 6-9, 2011 a delegation of the Bank Guarantee Fund headed by Jerzy Pruski, President of the BFG participated in the 33rd Executive Council Meeting and 2011 Research Conference of the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI). The events were held in the premises of the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland.
The IADI Research Conference was entitled “Financial Crises: The Role of Deposit Insurance”. The President of the BFG was a panelist at a session on deposit insurance and resolution policies and delivered a speech “Bank Resolution”.
During the Executive Council Meeting the BFG delegation made an update about preparations to the10th IADI General Meeting and Annual Conference in Warsaw, Poland. The events will be held on October 17-21, 2011 and for the first time will take place in a member state of the European Union.
