On 4 October 2013, the Act of 26 July 2013 amending the act on the Bank Guarantee Fund and several other acts (Journal of Laws of 2013, item 1012) entered into force. Pursuant to its entry, the President of the Management Board of the Bank Guarantee Fund becomes a member of the Financial Stability Committee, which is additionally composed of the Minister of Finance as its Chair, the President of the National Bank of Poland and the Chairman of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority.
The aim of the Committee is to ensure effective collaboration in the area of supporting and maintaining domestic financial sector stability by means of exchange of information, opinions and assessments of the state of the financial system within the country and abroad, as well as to coordinate action in this domain.
