On 9 July 2012 a ceremony when the prices for the best bachelor, master and doctoral thesis concerning deposit guarantee schemes, issues connected with the activities of the Bank Guarantee Fund as well as the financial safety of banks, were handed to the laureates of the 11th edition of the BFG competition. This year there were ten theses competing. The Jury awarded four: one in doctoral and three ex aequo in MA category.
The prizewinners (Danuta Kozioł, Aleksander Karczmarz, Artur Mika), the Members of the Jury (prof. Dariusz Filar, Ewa Kawecka-Włodarczak), Jerzy Pruski, the President of the President of the Management Board and prof. Małgorzata Iwanicz – Drozdowska, the thesis supervisor of two of awarded students, took part in the ceremony.
