On March 23-26, 2012 there took place a visit of the World Bank’s experts who were invited by Bank Guarantee Fund. During their stay in Warsaw there was held a round of meetings with representatives of institutions comprising the financial safety net in Poland. The subjects of discussions were issues on banks’ restructuring and resolution as well as current law regulations concerning liquidation, acquisition and insolvency proceedings on financial institutions.
The visit was the part of project aiming at preparation of issues/assumption paper on bank resolution regime that is carried out by the World Bank in cooperation with Ministry of Finance, National Bank of Poland, Financial Supervision Commission and BFG.
