On 24th of June 2014, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by the President of the Management Board of the Bank Guarantee Fund, Poland (BFG) and the President of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC).
The MOU provides for the advancement of cooperation between BFG and NDIC in the area of economics and finance, exchange of views on financial services, deposit insurance, resolution of financial institutions, promotion of sound banking practices, as well as other relevant financial stability issues. The MOU additionally provides for the organization of training sessions. The term of the MOU is 5 years with an option of extension.
